At eight years old, John LaCroix appeared in the Boston Herald posed and dressed as Michael Jackson. It was a taste of childhood fame, but his adult career was still uncertain. LaCroix developed his talents “behind-the-scenes” quickly and his first critical review (Jackson's Victory Tour, 1984 at Madison Square Garden) was published one week later. John's appetite for dangerous and expensive hobbies took him to MassArt where he pursued a BFA in photography. At the time, LaCroix was also publishing a popular indie music fanzine, playing guitar in the influential straight edge hardcore band, Ten Yard Fight, and working as a freelance designer. In 2000, LaCroix left Boston for California where he's usually 15 minutes late and occasionally forgets how to get home.
