When freelance work became too much to handle alone, I brought in partners and started an agency. Work was initially divided between video and websites, but it quickly expanded. We built brands from scratch, we tried to launch music careers, we went overboard on a few guerilla campaigns, and we designed products and took them to market.
Our office had an open gallery that could function as a studio when we needed it to shoot photos or video, but we could also host brands for parties or special events there, and that quickly blew up too. We hosted streetwear sample sales where kids lined up 24 hours early. Our art events filled up nearly every other week showcasing internationally known artists. At some point, we even hosted music, with members of Green Day playing an intimate gathering.
